A Counsellor is someone who is trained to listen empathically to your problems or concerns and help and support you in finding strategies that will help you to resolve issues and change behaviour. Discussing your concerns will help you to gain a better understanding of your feelings and actions, and help identifiy ways for you to find solutions to these problems in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

Counselling can help with a wide range of issues, from day-to-day worries or concerns to more serious, long-term problems. A Counseller can help you come to terms with distressing or traumatic events, such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, or general confusion about where you are in your life.

Talking to someone who we can trust, who is separate from our situation and is prepared to listen and hear what we are trying to say in a way that can allow us to feel at ease and safe in the process can help us in finding a way forward, giving us the strength and support to change our situation or deal with it in a different, more positive way.
